Last week, Darren Washington, writing in the Gary Post-Tribune, made a case for taxing workers who work in Gary but who do not live there. Washington argued that where you live is your choice, but that you should give something back to the city in which you make your money. But if you work in Gary and pay income tax to Gary shouldn't you be able to vote in Gary? Shouldn't you have a lot more to say about how things are run in Gary?
